Spicy pumpkin bread made healthier by substituting applesauce for oil and omitting egg yolks.

Recipe Ingredients for Pumpkin Bread

2 cups white flour
1 1/2 cups white sugar
3 large egg whites
1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce
8 ounces canned pumpkin
1 tsp baking soda
3/4 tsp salt
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp nutmeg
1/4 tsp ground cloves
1/8 tsp ground ginger

Recipe Directions for Pumpkin Bread

Mix all ingredients; bake in a greased loaf pan at 350* for 55 minutes or until a butterknife inserted in the middle comes out clean.
