Made with fresh cooked pumpkin, a harvest time treat.

Recipe Ingredients for Pumpkin Bread

3 cups sugar
1 cup Crisco shortening, melted
4 eggs
2 cups pumpkin, cooked
3 1/2 cups flour
2 tsp. baking soda
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
2/3 cup water

Recipe Directions for Pumpkin Bread

Bake pie pumpkin until tender. Allow to cool. Mix all ingredients. Pour into bread pans. Bake at 350 degrees for 35-45 minutes, until toothpick inserted in center comes out clean. Makes 4 loaves. Slice each loaf into 16 slices for 1 oz. servings.
