Makes 3 servings



Never soggy! Very fast! Use up slightly stale whole wheat bread--2 slices per person. Recipe is very strict on smear of margarine and syrup--add to taste.

Recipe Ingredients for P's French Toast w/ Cinnamon

7 1/5 oz whole wheat bread
2 large eggs
1/3 c skim milk
1 tbsp cinnamon
1 tbsp margarine
1 tbsp Pancake syrup

Recipe Directions for P's French Toast w/ Cinnamon

  1. Heat griddle to medium

  2. Beat eggs well with equal volume of milk

  3. Sprinkle cinnamon over surface of eggs.

  4. Lay one side of bread in eggs and let sit (not sink!) for 3-4 seconds, then flip for another 3-4 seconds.

  5. Place bread, cinnamon side down on griddle.

  6. Sprinkle cinnamon on top side of bread and on surface of eggs. Repeat for all 6 slices.

  7. Turn once until nicely browned.

  8. Serve with margarine and syrup.

  9. For more egg taste, reduce milk slightly.
