The beans are what keep them dense and moist like traditional brownies - also helps eliminate the need for extra butters, oil (though I did put 1 tbs in), and flours. :)

Recipe Ingredients for Protein Nut Brownies

4 oz Pro Performance 100% Whey Protein
0.75 cup Better'n Eggs
1 tbsp Extra Virgin Olive Oil
15 oz Black Beans
0.25 cup Whole Wheat Flour
6 oz SPLENDA No Calorie
1 tsp Vanilla Extract
1/4 cup Chopped Walnuts

Recipe Directions for Protein Nut Brownies

  1. Place all ingredients except for coconut and cashews in a blender and puree for a minute until smooth.

  2. Coat an 8x8 pan with cooking spray and pour batter in.Smooth with spatula.

  3. Sprinkle with coconuts and chopped cashews.

  4. Bake in a preheated 350 oven for 20 minutes or until firm.

  5. Top with frosting of your choice.
