Roast the barley, sunflower seeds, and pumpkin seeds at 300 degrees for 10 minutes before adding to the mix.

Recipe Ingredients for Protein Bars

2 1/2 cups oatmeal
1/2 cup barley
5 scoops protein powder
1/2 cup wheat bran
2 cups rice krispies cereal
1 1/2 cups nonfat dry milk
1 cup sunflower seeds
1 cup pumpkin seeds
1/2 cup molasses
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup honey
1/4 cup peanut butter
2 tablespoons butter
1/2 cup flax seed, ground

Recipe Directions for Protein Bars

Cook molasses, brown sugar, and honey until it comes to a rolling boil. Add peanut butter stir until mixed well. Add to other ingredients.
