A protein bar with no peanut butter!

Recipe Ingredients for Protein Bars

2 cups old fashioned oats
1 cup wheat bran
1/2 cup flax
1/3 cup Craisins Dried Cranberries
1/3 cup Craisins Dried Cranberries
2 oz slivered almonds
1/2 cup wheat germ
1 cup In the Raw Zero Calorie Sweetener
3 scoops vanilla whey protein powder
1/2 cup honey
1/4 cup water
1 t cinnamon
1/4 t nutmeg
2 t vanilla extract
1/2 t salt
1/2 cup applesauce

Recipe Directions for Protein Bars

  1. Mix dry ingredients in one bowl. Mix wet ingredients in another (Note: The protein powder is a "wet" ingredient)

  2. Mix the wet in with the dry until everything is moist. Grease a 9x13 pan and using a piece of parchment paper or wax paper, press the mixture until even and compact throughout. Bake on 350 for 20 - 25 minutes. Cut while warm and let cool completely before removing from pan. Store in an air tight container or freeze.
