Quick recipe with rice, ground beef, tomatoes and spices. The parmesan just adds the finishing touch.

Recipe Ingredients for Pronto Spanish Rice and Beef

1 lb ground beef
28 oz. can diced tomatoes
1 small onion
1/2 red pepper
1 tsp salt
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp oregano
1 tbsp chilli powder
3/4 cup water
1 1/4 cup minute rice
3/4 cup parmesan cheese

Recipe Directions for Pronto Spanish Rice and Beef

  1. Brown ground beef, chopped onion and chopped pepper. Drain. Add tomatoes, water and seasonings and bring to a boil. After simmering on medium for a few minutes add the minute rice and continue to simmer approx 5 min. covered. Remove from heat and stir in 1/2 of parmesan saving the other half for garnishing while serving.

  2. Goes great with a salad and homemade bread.
