dutchess It's good to be back! I can't promise a ton of posting...but it's good for me to check in. I've been so inconsistent and I'm not happy with my weight. And I know I was more successful when I was regularly checking in here with some of the best ladies EVER! :) Congrats on the school grades! Dang girl!
akela - I was glad for the reminder about tea too. I always forget about it and I have so much of it at my house!
This week was my first one back with students. Man...it's been a long week! I may end up losing weight just because I don't even have TIME to eat. Yikes! I've had a pretty good week though! Hopefully you're starting off a great weekend! I woke up late and didn't weigh this morning. But I will tomorrow. :)

akela: if you didn't go over maintenance, then you're right. You shouldn't beat yourself up too bad. Tomorrow is a new day! Seriously. I am thankful to you for getting me re-motivated. I need this. And I've got that "LET'S DO THIS!" mentality right now. I hope it stays with me.

It really feels good to be back. I know that when I was checking in and writing consistently I was doing well (both mentally and with weight loss.)
So akela, you should be seeing me more around here. And thanks for reposting that. I seriously LOVE it! Others reading this...if you didn't click her link above...DO IT! You'll be glad you did.
I tried to go back and catch up a little bit. I know I've been gone a long time, so it will take me awhile to catch back up with things in your lives and you with mine.
kathleen: dining out is the hardest for me! As long as you're encouraging each other, it will be easier! I have no plans for the holiday! What about you?

Also, though yesterday was the worst day I've had in a LONG time, I did SO well today! I decided I had to get out of the house, so I biked 6.5 miles downtown to meet a friend for coffee. Then we decided to keep biking. All in all, by the time I got home I had biked 22 miles. (And burned around 1400 calories!!!) What a great day! Now...time for dinner! :)

I can't even tell you the last time I updated folks on this forum. akela talked me into coming back. At least for an update. Maybe I'll even stay for the good company and the support.
I've been in a rut for quite sometime.
Let me tell you a bit about myself. I started on CC in Dec 2007 at my heaviest of 288. My lowest weight was 181. I'm currently sitting right around 200 (give or take a few pounds.) I am now a runner. I did my first half marathon in May and I'm signed up to do another in October. I did three sprint triathlons this summer. I have shifted my focus to my fitness from the number on the scale. That made sense when I was around 180. But I need to get back on the wagon and be more consistent with counting calories.
I binged pretty badly yesterday. But today is a new day. I will log. I will drink water. I will workout. I'll be going back to routine starting Tuesday (I'm a high school math teacher!) Maybe I'll make it part of my routine to check back in here. I know I need the support.
Are you ladies doing check-in days? How is everyone doing? I hope the holiday weekend is enjoyable!

I've been at the same weight since December. Ugh.
However....I just started a biggest loser competition at work. And with the competition and the accountability I think I'll be doing better for at least the next 10 weeks!

I need to get back on track with eating and working out. I'm holding steady within two pounds of my lowest, but obviously still have weight to lose.
I need to stop in here more often. You are all so motivational.

Hey all! I've spent the day (or at least this evening) working on homework. So I feel pretty productive. I think I'm going to go grocery shopping once I leave the coffee shop as well so I have all the ingredients I need to "power cook" tomorrow! (I've been doing that the past several weeks on Sundays and it seriously saves me during the week!)
shapie - forgot to mention in my last post about the stomach thing. Ugh. I seriously HATE it. I feel like it's just NOT going away. And I feel like it does make me look bigger than I am.
Saw a new low of 185.2 this morning! So eating right all week is paying off. It's just slow! I'll take it though!
Alright....have to go back to homework so I can eventually go home! (I can't get any work done there with two roommates!)

This week has been hella busy and great eating-wise. I've been a complete SAINT and weight is up a pound. Ugh. It is what it is. I'll keep it up. Give it time.

ally - forgot to mention from your post yesterday....teaching is going pretty well. I'm just about done with the first trimester already! It's hard to believe. I just had a meeting with my administrator yesterday and he told me how awesome I was at my job...and that's always nice to hear. I think the hardest part has been the fact that I'm also taking grad classes - but it will be worth it in May when I'm done with my Masters!
dalma - What is your goal weight? I'm just curious because you said our bodies are similar and I don't really have a goal weight yet. With about 7 weeks of the year left I'm hoping to be in the 170's by New Years. (I'm at 187ish right now and I've been losing on average about a pound a week.) Did you do better maintaining/losing on WW? I just stopped doing WW - but mostly because i wasn't really using it and it was a waste of money for me. When I counted points it worked of course. But I could do that on my own or just count calories on here.
muppet - if it wasn't a big deal, we'd all be skinny, right? Let's be honest. Food is good! And I (at least) want to eat it all the time. In large amounts. It is quite a sacrifice to cut calories like we do to lose weight. You can do this though. One day at a time!

dalma - I have a similar situation even though I'm still at 188 and need to lose at least 30 more pounds. People make you feel selfish for wanting to lose more. Just because I don't still have all the weight left to lose doesn't mean I don't want to "finish" and get to goal! Argh. You can do this!
I have cramps from HELL today. Boo to that.

I'm down 100 pounds from my starting weight. I quit smoking two months ago. I'm still teaching and doing the grad school thang.

Hey all - dropping by to say hey!
A big welcome back to reddy! I am pretty sure I also saw watchme too!
I haven't been stopping by much but I'm still doing my thang. I did Zumba last night, and Spin tonight. I'm running a 5k on Saturday. I feel like it's taking forever to lose the weight, but I'm doing what I need to do!
I set a goal today of losing 15 pounds by Christmas. Anyone want to join me?
This morning I was at 194.6 today. It's crazy to think that in 15 pounds I'll weigh 179.6. (This may be a pretty lofty goal, but it's something to aim for at least!)

Thanks for the awesome compliments on the pic. Still working at it. I'm around 195 right now and not really sure where my goal is. Right now I'm aiming for 170 and then...well....we'll see. Like many of you, I've never actually been this little....so this is all new to me!
vitamins - I haven't taken any in a long time. A couple years ago I had a blood clot in my brain (crazy, right?) and I was forced to take all this medication (including vitamins) and ever since I got the okay from the doc I just haven't been good at taking them. I even filled up my weekly pill case last Friday with them....it hasn't helped me remember to take them a single day this week. I just take a normal multi - and I don't log it. But I don't really log everything.

Hey All -
Wanted to drop by and say "hey" (while I'm procrastinating...). I changed my profile pic to a progress pic I took that compares my biggest with me now. (That was 90 pounds ago.)
Today I was at 197.1. Not dropping too much, but either staying steady or dropping a little. And I quit smoking 9 days ago....so I'm happy with any loss.
I miss you all. Life is hectic. I am back to working full time and taking two grad classes. Ugh. I'll try to stop by again soon!!

Hey all - thanks for the congrats! I haven't seen the one hundreds since middle school! Yikes! Today is my third day of being in glorious ONEderland! I weighed in this morning at 198.2.
Pretty hard to believe. But it's seeming to stoke the fire under my arse! :)

I keep randomly jumping in....
I'm at 201.1! This is the lowest ever been and incredibly close to ONEderland. My first outdoor triathlon is in a week - and I'm doing my first open water swim this morning.
Then I'm going to a birthday party, and then camping for two days. Ugh. I want to magically be below 200 when I come back Tuesday. (Okay, not magically...but I want to have the willpower to make excellent choices while I'm away and then have that show on the scale when I return.)
