A delishious sweet and salty dessert with a layer or strawberry gelatin over a creamy layer over a pretzel crust.

Recipe Ingredients for Pretzel Jello

1 package gelatin, strawberry
20 oz. frozen strawberries
9 oz. pretzels, coarsely crushed
3/4 cups butter, melted
3 tablespoons sugar
8 oz. cream cheese, softened
1 cup sugar
8 oz. Cool Whip

Recipe Directions for Pretzel Jello

  1. Dissolve strawberry jell-o with 2 cups boiling water Add frozen strawberries and juice (I break up the berries if they are not defrosted) Leave in bowl in frig to soft set.

  2. Mix two cups of pretzels (maybe a little more) with melted butter and 3 tablespoons sugar. Spread on 9x13 inch pan Bake at 400 degrees for 8 minutes, let crust cool.

  3. Beat 1 cup sugar into cream cheese. When softened, stir into Cool Whip, spread on cooled crust.

  4. Pour soft set Jell-O over mixture, refrigerate until set.
