Cute little fairy cakes that can be easily iced.

Recipe Ingredients for Pretty fairy cakes

250 g unsalted butter
280 g caster sugar
6 eggs
200 g plain flour
2 tsp bicarbonate of soda
200 g icing sugar
2 tbsp water

Recipe Directions for Pretty fairy cakes

  1. Soften butter and stir in sugar.

  2. Gradually add the eggs.

  3. Add the flour, preferably in a food processor.

  4. Add the bicarb of soda to the mixture.

  5. Add any other ingredients used for flavouring as you wish.

  6. Bake in the over at 190 degrees C for 15 minutes or until browned.

  7. Leave to cool.

  8. Ice the cakes using the icing, mixed from the icing sugar and water. The cakes should be iced when they have cooled.
