Eating well when you are expecting recipe 1/2 protein serving 1/2 vitamin c serving 1/2 serving yellow fruits and veggies 1/2 serving other fruits and veggies 1 1/2 whole grain servings 1 fat servings

Recipe Ingredients for Power breakfast bars

8 tbsp butter
1/4 cup splenda
3/4 cup grape juice
2 large eggs
1 tsp vanilla extract
2 1/2 cups rolled oats
1 cup whole wheat flour
1/2 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp wheat germ
1 cup walnuts
1 cup dried apricots

Recipe Directions for Power breakfast bars

  1. preheat oven to 375

  2. place butter, splenda, grape juice concentrate, eggs, and vanilla in mixing bowl, beat until well mixed.

  3. place oats, whole wheat flour, baking soda, cinnamon, wheat germ, walnuts, apricots to another mixing bowl, stir to combine.

  4. Add oat mixture to butter mixture stir until thoroughly combined.

  5. Line baking sheet with parchment paper. Shape heaping tablespoons into bars that are roughly 2 by 4 inches. Bake roughly 15 mins or until tops are golden brown.
