Belizean sweet bread, so good in the morning with coffee.

Recipe Ingredients for Powder Buns

1 pound flour
1 stick butter
1 egg
1 cup skim milk
1 cup brown sugar
1 tbs. baking powder
1 tsp nutmeg
1 tsp vanilla

Recipe Directions for Powder Buns

  1. pre heat oven to 200 C. In a bowl combine the flour, sugar, baking powder and nutmeg. Once blended well incorporate the butter.

  2. After the dough is crumbly, and the butter is blended well, mix in the milk, egg and vanilla. Dough will be very sticky!

  3. Put dough on un-greased baking pan, and pat down until about 1/2" thick. Bake for about 15- 20 min.
