Traditional homemade dense pound cake.

Recipe Ingredients for Pound Cake, Cream Cheese, Homemade

3 cups Flour
3 cups Sugar
1 1/2 cups Butter
8 oz Cream Cheese
6 Eggs
1 tsp Vanilla
1 tsp Lemon Extract

Recipe Directions for Pound Cake, Cream Cheese, Homemade

  1. Cream room temperature butter and sugar until light and fluffy. Add room temp cream cheese and continue beating until incorporated and fluffy.

  2. Beat in room temp eggs, one at a time. Add vanilla and lemon extract now or as the flour is added.

  3. Add flour, a little at a time, until all mixed in. Do not overbeat at this point.

  4. Bake in greased/floured large tube or bundt pan at 325 1 hr. 15 min to 1 hr 30 min, depending on your oven.
