Recipe Ingredients for Poulet de France

12 oz stuffing, herb seasoned kind (makes ~6 cups)
3 cups chicken, cooked
2 cups chicken broth
1 tbsp margarine
1/2 cup light mayonaise
1 large onion, diced
3 bell peppers, diced (any color)
1/4 cup chives, diced
1 can cream of celery soup
1 1/2 cups 1% milk
2 eggs
1/2 cup cheddar cheese

Recipe Directions for Poulet de France

  1. Boil chicken, spoon out onto cutting board. Save broth. Dice chicken.

  2. Pour 1-1/4 cups chicken broth over stuffing and margarine, stir until broth soaks in.

  3. In another bowl combine onions, peppers, chicken, chives, 3/4 cup broth, and mayo.

  4. Layer 1/2 the stuffing into the bottom of two 9" pie tins. Spread the chicken mixture over as another layer. Top with the rest of the stuffing.

  5. Whisk together the soup, milk, and eggs. Pour evenly over the stuffing.

  6. If freezing, cover with foil and freeze. To eat: thaw, then place, covered, in oven at 325* for 30 min. Remove foil cover, sprinkle with cheese, and bake for another 10 minutes.
