Grandmother Ruppenthals recipe with my twist

Recipe Ingredients for Potatoe Soup

2 c diced potatoes
1 onion
2 c. water
1 tbsp butter
3 stalks celery
2 carrots
3/4 c. flour
1/2 tsp baking powder
1 egg
2 c. skim milk

Recipe Directions for Potatoe Soup

  1. Saute onion in butter until soft

  2. Add potatoes, water and cook until potatoes are almost done.

  3. In a bowl mix flour, salt and baking soda. Beat egg in a cup and add 1/2 to flour mixture. Mix with fingers until it is the size of small peas. Add mix to soup and stir with spatula to keep from sticking. Cook 10 mins. While that is cooking, heat milk. After adding milk, simmer for 5 more mins.
