Recipe Ingredients for Potatoe Cheddar Broccoli Soup

1 large (3" to 4-1/4" dia.) Potatoes, Boiled
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
0.33 cup Butter
6 clove Garlic
1 medium Carrots
1/4 cup Gold Medal All Purpose Flour
6 serving Instant VegeBase
1 cup Cream, Fluid, Half And Half
8 slice (1 oz) Cheddar Cheese
3 tsp or 1 packet Mustard, Prepared, Yellow
6 tbsp Real Bacon Bits
2 cup, chopped Broccoli

Recipe Directions for Potatoe Cheddar Broccoli Soup

Peel and slice potatoes; put into kettle with 8 cups of water and Vegebase. Cook until soft. Meanwhile, melt butter, cook onion, carrot and garlic until onions are translucent. Akk flour and stir. Add in Milk, a little at at time. Add some of the broth from the potatoes until you have a nice consistency. Grate half of the cheese and add cheese and mustard to onion mixture. Stir over low heat until melted. Cut broccoli into florettes. Steam just until getting soft. Add onion mixture to potatoes, stirring in slowly. Add broccoli just before serving. Top each bowl with the rest of the cheese, shredded, and a tbs of bacon bits.
