Paula Deen's recipe, slightly modified

Recipe Ingredients for Potato Soup

5 tablespoons light Margarine
1 medium onion
3 medium carrots, chopped
6 celery stalks, chopped
3 tablespoons flour
8 medium russet potatoes, peeled and cubed
5 cups of 1% milk
1/2 cup 1% milk
2 chicken bouillon cubes
1 cup half-and-half
1 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon pepper
3 cups frozen corn

Recipe Directions for Potato Soup

Saute veggies in margarine until tender. In the meantime dissolve bouillon cubes in the 1/2 cup of milk over a low heat. Add flour and cook 1 minute. Add both milks and potatoes, salt and pepper. Cook until potatoes are tender. Add half and half and the corn. Top with cheese and/or bacon bits.
