Easy, warm, and probably the cheapest soup ever made on a student budget in London.

Recipe Ingredients for Potato and Onion Soup with Cumin

3 tbsp olive oil
2 large onions, sliced thin
3 cloves garlic
3 chicken stock cubes, Oxo (also recommend vegetable, but it's not in the database)
1 litre water
1 large potato, sliced thin
1 tbsp cumin, (approx., use as much as you like)
1 tsp salt, to taste
2 tsp pepper, to taste
2 tsp parsley, fresh to garnish

Recipe Directions for Potato and Onion Soup with Cumin

  1. Sautee onions and garlic in olive oil in a saucepan with the lid on for 25 min.

  2. Add water, stock cubes, and potato, bring to a boil, then simmer for another 20 min.

  3. Add spices to taste.
