Recipe Ingredients for Potato and Mushroom Gratin

1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
1 cup shredded parmesan cheese
1/2 pint heavy cream
1 3/20 pounds of potatoes
7 1/2 oz mushrooms
6 tbsp thyme
5 tbsp garlic powder
4 tbsp salt
3 tbsp pepper
2 tbsp olive oil

Recipe Directions for Potato and Mushroom Gratin

  1. Boil heavy cream with 2 tbsp of garlic powder and 3 tbsp of thyme for 5 minutes.

  2. Slice potatoes and let sit in cream mixture while cooling

  3. Slice and Saute mushrooms for 10 minutes and add thyme cooking for a additional 3 minutes.

  4. Layer potatoes and mushrooms with cheese and seasonings.

  5. Pour cream over entire mixture.

  6. Cover with foil and bake at 375 degrees for 45 minutes.

  7. Uncover and bake for an additional 20 minutes.
