Potato Kugel is a Ashkenazic Jewish food usually made for the Sabbath meal and sometimes for before Sabbath snacking too. It might be described as something like a potato pudding, it's really good, try it.

Recipe Ingredients for Potato Kugel

9 Potatoes
1/3 c oil (little less than 1/3 cup)
3 eggs
3/4 c boiling water
1 tbsp salt

Recipe Directions for Potato Kugel

  1. Peel Potatoes and keep in a bowl with cold water.

  2. Mix eggs an oil together.

  3. Grate peeled potatoes in a food processor with the fine grater blade

  4. Add potatoes to bowl with eggs and oil

  5. Add boiling water

  6. Add salt to taste

  7. Bake at 450 for 1/2 hour

  8. Lower oven to 350 and bake for another hour
