Recipe Ingredients for Potato Dauphinoise

500 g potatoes
150 ml double cream
100 ml 1% milk
50 g cheddar cheese (grated)
1 clove garlic
1 g butter

Recipe Directions for Potato Dauphinoise

  1. peel potatoes and slice as thin as you can manage.

  2. mix together milk & cream

  3. layer sliced potatoes in a gratin dish with a bit of cream & a sprinkling of grated garlic

  4. at the end add any left over cream & milk.

  5. sprinkle grated cheese on top & season

  6. cook at gas 2 or 3 for 2 - 3 hours - until golden brown.
