Recipe Ingredients for potato and corn chowder

2 cups heavy cream
2 cups diced potatoes
3 medium slices bacon
1 leek
1/2 onion
4 cups vegetable broth
1 cup corn
2 cups chicken
4 cups chicken broth

Recipe Directions for potato and corn chowder

fry 2 slices of bacon in large soup pot, add sliced leek and diced onions and cook until translucent. Cut kernels off of 2 ears of fresh corn and add to onion and leeks cook until corn is bright yellow and add 4 cups of vegetable broth set to simmer. In another large pot cook one slice of diced bacon until fat is rendered add one half of a chicken. Add enough water to cover chicken and boil for one hour. You may add carrots and left over onion and leeks to broth for added taste. once chicken is falling of the bone remove it to a place and strain the broth into leek and onion mixture. Debone chicken removing all skin, bones and any fat and add to other pot. Increase heat to high and add diced potatoes cook until potatoes are soft and reduce heat and add cream.
