This is my mother in law's recipe. Very basic and good. Serving size about the size of 1 large potato. 6 servings in each pan. Makes 2 4X4 pans. Can freeze one and serve the other. To serve frozen one, thaw in the refrigerator overnight and bake as usual or bake in the oven frozen to done an extra 30-45 minutes.

Recipe Ingredients for Potato Casserole (mom's recipe)

4 large potatoes
1/3 cup margarine
1/4 cup flour
1 1/2 cups fat free milk
1 cup peas
2 ounces ham
1/2 cup mozzarella cheese

Recipe Directions for Potato Casserole (mom's recipe)

Boil whole potatoes, then once they are soft cut them up. (or you can cut up first then boil.) Melt 1/2 cup margarine. Add 1/4 cup flour with a wisk. Then add milk until runny and there are no clumps. (may need more or less milk, depending on how much sauce you want) Combine potatoes and sauce and sliced ham and peas into a casserole dish. Top with cheese. Bake at 350 for 20 minutes.
