This is a lower fat chowder recipe.

Recipe Ingredients for Potato and Cabbage Chowder

2 c water
1 chicken bouillon cube
3 potatoes, peeled and cubed
1/2 cup skim milk
2 c cabbage, chopped
1/2 cup carrots, shredded
1/2 tsp dried dill

Recipe Directions for Potato and Cabbage Chowder

  1. In medium saucepan, combine broth and potatoes.

  2. Bring to a boil.

  3. Reduce heat, cover and simmer 8 minutes or until tender.Cool slightly.

  4. Place 1 cup potato mixture in blender,.

  5. Add milk, cover and blend 30 seconds.

  6. Return to saucepan.

  7. Stir in remaining ingredients.

  8. Cook over medium heat 5 minutes or until cabbage is crisp-tender.
