Medieval peasant food. It's like a veggi soup thickened with oats.

Recipe Ingredients for Potage #1

3 potatoes
3 carrots
1 onion
1 shallot
1/2 cup Italian parsley
1/4 cup oats
1 tbsp garlic
1/2 tsp turmeric
1/4 tsp black pepper
5 cups vegetable broth

Recipe Directions for Potage #1

Boil broth, meanwhile wash and chopp veggi, allow simmer to tender, add oats and seasonings to thicken. Simmer and serve with bread and cheese.
