Recipe Ingredients for Pot Roast

2 pounds lean beef
2 medium potatoes, peeled and quartered
2 large carrots, peeled & cut in 1-inch pieces
2 medium onion, cut into eighths
1/2 cup red wine or water
1 tsp black pepper

Recipe Directions for Pot Roast

Place beef in a dutch oven or deep baking dish. Place potatoes, carrots and onions evenly around beef. Pour wine or water evenly over beef and veggies. Sprinkle on black pepper. Cover and bake for 1 1/2 hours 300F
