Recipe Ingredients for Portabello Burgers

4 cup portabello mushrooms, stems removed
1 medium onion, cut into 1/2-inch slices
3 tablespoons olive oil
1/2 teaspoon ground black pepper, divided
1 Avocado, fully ripened, halved, pitted and sliced
1/2 teaspoon minced garlic

Recipe Directions for Portabello Burgers

  1. Rinse portabellos and pat dry.

  2. Brush with olive oil and place in pan

  3. Top with ground black pepper and any other spices you so choose.

  4. Cook until portabellos are soft and juicy.

  5. Add cheese if so desired.

  6. in the meantime, combine avocado and garlic in bowl and spread on bun of your choice.

  7. Place portabello on bun top with the onion slices, and enjoy!
