Recipe Ingredients for Portabella mushroom pasta

143 grams Mushrooms, Portabella
127 grams Sliced Baby Bella Mushrooms Packaged
17 grams Garlic
105 grams Onions
7 tbsp Grated Parmesan Cheese
8 ounces whole wheat linguine, cooked

Recipe Directions for Portabella mushroom pasta

  1. Start boiling the water for the pasta

  2. In the meantime, chop up the portabella mushrooms, the garlic and the onions. Weigh everything, including the pre-sliced baby bella mushrooms.

  3. Put the mixture into a fry pan and start cooking on medium-high heat. Add water as necessary to keep things from browning too much.

  4. While this is going, the water should be coming to a boil. Weigh out the whole wheat linguine and put into the boiling water. Set the timer for about 14-15minutes, or until the pasta is cooked.

  5. When the pasta is almost done (about 4-5mins left to cook time) add the Parmesan cheese to the mushroom mixture. At this time start adding a bit of the starchy pasta water, a little at a time, until you find the right thickness for the mixture.

  6. Once the pasta is done, drain it and add the pasta to the mushroom mixture. Stir everything to mix it.

  7. Set in 2 plates and serve!
