German-style breaded, fried pork cutlets. They cook fast and stay juicy!

Recipe Ingredients for Pork Schnitzel

1 1/5 lbs boneless pork chops, thinly sliced
1/2 oz pretzels, smashed
2 tbsp white whole wheat flour
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese
1 tsp black pepper
1/2 tsp dried thyme
1/3 cup canola oil
1 1/2 eggs, beaten

Recipe Directions for Pork Schnitzel

  1. Combine pretzels, flour, cheese, pepper and thyme in a shallow dish. Reserve 1 tbsp flour.

  2. Pound pork chops with a meat tenderizer or your knuckles.

  3. Dredge pork chops in reserved flour, then the egg, then the breading.

  4. When all pork chops are coated, Drop them into heated canola oil and fry. Flip after about 1 minute, fry again.

  5. Place pork chops in oven on low heat if you need to rotate them through the pan.

  6. Serve immediately.
