Shredded pork in mole sauce for tacos or other Mexican dishes.

Recipe Ingredients for Pork in Mole Sauce

1 tbsp canola oil
126 g onion, finely diced
107 g green bell pepper, finely diced
9/10 kg pork butt
1 tbsp ground cumin
1 tsp ground cinnamon
2 tsp cilantro
1/2 tsp garlic powder
2 tbsp Worcestershire sauce
300 ml canned diced tomatoes
1/4 cup Frank's Thick hot sauce
2 oz Diana sauce
2 tbsp chili powder
1/4 cup brown sugar
1/4 cup cocoa powder

Recipe Directions for Pork in Mole Sauce

  1. Fry peppers and onion in oil.

  2. When browned, add the meat. Sear meat on all sides.

  3. After meat is seared, add spices, then add liquid ingredients. Stir.

  4. Simmer meat in sauce for 2 hours.

  5. Shred meat using two forks or sets of tongs. Stir into sauce.

  6. Simmer until meat is heated through, then serve.
