Recipe Ingredients for Pork Loin Braised in Cider with apples and cream

2 T. olive oil
1/2 cup Dijon mustard
1/2 cup light brown sugar, firmly packed
1 onion
2 1/2 pound pork loin roast
2 t. thyme
1/2 cup apple cider
1 cup beef stock, reduced sodium
4 apples
3/4 cup skim milk
1 pound wide egg noodles

Recipe Directions for Pork Loin Braised in Cider with apples and cream

  1. make paste of the mustard and sugar, spread over roast

  2. Brown roast on all sides

  3. Add onion and thyme to pan cook until onions softened 3 to 5 min.

  4. put into slow cooker

  5. add cider and beef stock

  6. cook on hight for 3 hours

  7. remove cover, add apples and cream

  8. cover and cook for 1 more hour

  9. remove pork, place in tin foil, let rest for 1 minutes

  10. season with salt and pepper

  11. serve over noodles
