Recipe Ingredients for Pork Fried Rice (with bacon & brown rice)

2 cups boiling water
1 tsp. salt
3/4 cups brown rice
1/5 cups wild rice
1 bacon
1/2 cup chopped onion

Recipe Directions for Pork Fried Rice (with bacon & brown rice)

  1. Boil water. Add salt and rice. Bring to a boil, and then cover and turn down to low. Do not take the lid off until time is up.

  2. While rice is cooking, dice up two or three slices of frozen bacon into very small pieces.

  3. Cook bacon pieces. Remove bacon pieces from fat.

  4. Remove half of bacon drippings, leave the other half in the pan. Cook onion on medium low heat, stirring occasionally. When onion is done, add bacon bits. Remove from heat. Salt and peppper to taste. When rice is done, add to bacon/onion mixture and stir fry for five to six minutes. Makes three servings.
