Makes 4 servings



Pork with a savoury apple topping. Can be made low fat by replacing butter with oil while cooking, and trimming the fat off the pork chop.

Recipe Ingredients for Pork chops and apples

3 small (2-3/4") Apples
1 medium (2-1/2" dia) Onions
0.25 cup, packed Sugars, Brown
2 tsp Cinnamon, Ground
1 tsp Nutmeg, Ground
2 clove Garlic
1 dash Pepper, Black
2 tbsp Butter

Recipe Directions for Pork chops and apples

  1. Chop up onions

  2. In a heated frying pan add butter, onions, spices, and brown sugar

  3. Cook onions until soft

  4. Cut up apples in to thin slices

  5. Add apples to frying pan, cook until soft

  6. Remove apples and onions with a slotted spoon, set aside

  7. In the SAME pan (which should have leftover juices and spices) cook porkchops

  8. Once porkchops are fully cooked, pour apple mixture back over top to reheat

  9. Serve over rice
