These taste wonderful in autumn with some green beans and a baked potatoes or mashed potatoes on the side.

Recipe Ingredients for Pork Chops in Apple Cider

4 pork chops, 1" thick
1 T butter
1 T olive oil
1/2 tsp salt
1 black pepper, pinch
2 T flour
1 1/4 cups apple cider
1 clove garlic, crushed
1 tsp. rosemary
1 tsp. capers

Recipe Directions for Pork Chops in Apple Cider

  1. Brown chops in combined hot butter and oil.

  2. Cook chops 6 minutes on each side.

  3. Remove chops from skillet and season with salt and pepper.

  4. Discard all but 2 T fat from skillet.

  5. Add flour. Stir till thickened.

  6. Add cider, garlic, and rosemary gradually, stirring all the while.

  7. Simmer sauce 5 minutes until thickened and slightly reduced.

  8. Replace chops in skillet.

  9. Cover. Simmer 15 minutes

  10. Stir capers into the sauce 5 minutes before serving.
