Gravy made from peanut oil, rendered pork fat, salt, pepper, flour

Recipe Ingredients for Pork Chop Gravy

3 tbsp peanut oil
1 tbsp lard
1/4 cup flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
2 cups soy milk

Recipe Directions for Pork Chop Gravy

  1. Cook off all water from pork chop roast process on medium heat leaving original 2 tbsp of peanut oil and 1 tbsp rendered pork fat

  2. Add 2 tbsp peanut oil to existing pork fat and peanut oil

  3. Heat to medium (brownish appearance)

  4. Lower heat to 1/4 heat

  5. Sift 1/4 cup flour eavenly across pan

  6. sprinkle salt evenly across pan

  7. sprinkle pepper evenly across pan

  8. let cook for 5 minutes until flour has soaked all grease and is beginning to brown

  9. add soy milk slowly while stirring with potato masher being sure to scrape bottom of pan

  10. continue to stir with masher until smooth and creamy
