Tender, pan-fried pork chops with a creamy blue cheese gravy (made lighter by using fat-free evaporated milk rather than whipping cream)

Recipe Ingredients for Pork chop with blue cheese gravy

2 tablespoons butter
24 oz pork chops (boneless)
1/2 teaspoon black pepper
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
1 cup evaporated skim milk
1 tablespoon cornstarch
2 ounces blue cheese, crumbled

Recipe Directions for Pork chop with blue cheese gravy

  1. Salt and pepper the chops.

  2. Melt 1 tablespoon butter in a large sautéing pan. Cook pork chops about 8 minutes or until pork reaches an internal temperature of at least 140 F (medium-rare), turning a few times to brown evenly.

  3. In a medium saucepan, melt the remaining butter then add the evaporated milk, cornstarch and blue cheese. Stir frequently until the cheese melts.

  4. Serve the cheese gravy over the pork chops.
