Recipe Ingredients for Porcupines


MEATBALLS:
1 pound ground beef
3/4 cup cooked rice
1/2 cup water
1 small onion, chopped
1 tsp salt
1/2 tsp celery seed
1/8 tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp pepper

SAUCE:
15 ounces tomato sauce
1 cup water
2 tsp worcestershire sauce

MASHED POTATOES:
5 medium baking potatoes, peeled
1/4 cup milk
2 tbsp butter
2 tsp salt
1 tbsp garlic powder

Recipe Directions for Porcupines

  1. Mix ground beef, rice, water, onion, salt, celery seed, garlic powder and pepper until thoroughly combined. Form into balls. Brown meatballs over medium heat.

  2. Once meatballs are browned, cover with sauce. Bring to boil. Turn down heat and simmer, covered, for 45 minutes.

  3. Serve over mashed potatoes.
