Popcorn made in a pressure cooker- a delicious low calorie snack ready in minutes

Recipe Ingredients for Popcorn

2 tsp oil
1/2 tsp chili powder
1/8 tsp salt
1/8 tsp turmeric powder, optional
1 oz corn kernels

Recipe Directions for Popcorn

  1. Heat oil in the pressure cooker, add salt, turmeric and chili powder, and immediately add the corn kernels, stir with a spoon. reduce flame to medium.

  2. Cover partially with pressure cooker lid or kitchen sieve, to allow steam to escape. Do not put the weight on the steam vent.

  3. the corn will start popping in a couple of minutes.

  4. wait for popping sound to stop.

  5. remove from stove and immediately transfer to a bowl.
