Recipe Ingredients for Poor Girl's Lemon Mojito

4 tbsp Rum (clear, not spiced)
1/4 cup mint (fresh)
1/4 cup lemon juice (the juice of approximately half a lemon)
1 tbsp sugar
6 oz. sparkling water

Recipe Directions for Poor Girl's Lemon Mojito

  1. In a mortar and pestle, crush the mint with the lemon juice and sugar until the sugar is completely dissolved and the mixture is turning green from the mint.

  2. Mix with sparkling water (lime or lemon flavored is delicious) and rum. Serve over ice. Best drunk with a straw to avoid mint clumps.
