Recipe Ingredients for Polynesian Sweet and Sour Pork

3/4 pounds lean pork loin
2 tbsp ginger
2 tbsp garlic
1/2 cup apple cider vinegar
1/2 cup brown sugar
1 cup pineapple
1/2 cup pineapple juice
1 small onion
1 green pepper
1/2 cup water
2 tbsp corn starch
2 tbsp canola oil

Recipe Directions for Polynesian Sweet and Sour Pork

  1. mince garlic and ginger

  2. chop onions, green pepper, and pork into bite sized pieces

  3. stir fry onions, garlic, and ginger in canola oil over high heat until translucent

  4. add pork and stir fry until it is no longer pink

  5. add green peppers and continue cooking 1-2 minutes,add pineapple chunks and cook to heat through

  6. combine pineapple juice, cider vinegar, water, brown sugar, and corn starch and stir to dissolve

  7. add to stir fry mixture and bring to a boil

  8. cook until sauce bubbles and thickens

  9. serve over rice
