Vegetarian, side dish. Can be served with Caponara sause or grilled vegetables. Can be served for breakfast with butter and honey.

Recipe Ingredients for Polenta

1 1/2 litres of water
1 teaspoon salt
1 1/2 cups polenta

Recipe Directions for Polenta

  1. bring water to boil, add salt, whisk in the polenta, stir constantly over a medium heat for 2-3 min. Reduce the heat, cook until very thick (about 15 min)

  2. Spoon the polenta into an oiled 9 inch square cake tin, smooth the surface and refrigerate until firm.

  3. Cut into 12 triangles, Brush with olive oil and barbecue or char grill for 5 - 6 min. You can also fry it on a pan with olive oil or butter.
