Plum Clafouti Recipe

Easy plum dessert. Use other fruits, and I use less sugar and butter than it recommends

Recipe Ingredients for Plum Clafouti

30 g butter
400 g plums
3 eggs
1/4 cup sugar
1/4 cup all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon vanilla essence
600 ml non fat milk

Recipe Directions for Plum Clafouti

  1. Grease a shallow 18x28cm ovenproof dish with butter.

  2. Place the plum halves, evenly over the base of the dish.

  3. Place eggs and sugar in a food processor and blend until pale.

  4. Add the flour and essence and process until smooth.

  5. Add the milk.

  6. Process until well mixed.

  7. Pour the batter over the plums.

  8. Bake in a moderately hot oven (190C) for 25 to 30 minutes or until the custard is set and golden.

  9. Serve dusted with icing sugar, cream or ice cream
