Recipe Ingredients for Plantains sauteed

1 Plantain (300g) large yellow
1/2 tbsp. canola oil
1/2 tbsp. Smart Balance Olive oil spread
1/4 tsp. garlic powder
1/4 tsp. black pepper
15 g. Agave nectar
1/2 tsp. brown sugar

Recipe Directions for Plantains sauteed

  1. Cut large plantain in three sections; then quater each section.

  2. Melt margarine and oil in small frying pan - med high

  3. Sprinkle garlic powder into hot oil

  4. when oil is hot, place plantain sections to fill frying pan; allow to brown on all sides

  5. when almost completed, sprinkle pepper, and agave syrup over plantains;

  6. lower heat

  7. sprinkle brown sugar

  8. (cinamon is optional)

  9. remove from heat.

  10. serve warm or cold
