This is a quick sauce that can be made while you are cooking the pasta. Great with whole Wheat Pasta.

Recipe Ingredients for Plain Tomato Sauce

15 oz crushed tomatoes
2 tbsp olive oil
1 tsp salt
1 tsp pepper
1 tbsp garlic powder
1 chicken bouillon cube
4 fresh basil leaves

Recipe Directions for Plain Tomato Sauce

  1. put olive oil in medium sauce pan

  2. add crushed tomatoes

  3. add salt,pepper,garlic powder and chicken cube

  4. let simmer for 10 minutes or while pasta water comes to a boil

  5. add fresh basil for last 8 minutes or while pasta is cooking
