Recipe Ingredients for plain hummus

2 garlic cloves
1 tablespoon chopped fresh parsley
15 ounce garbanzo beans
2 tablespoons tahini (sesame seed butter)
2 tablespoons lemon juice
1/4 teaspoon ground cumin
1/4 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon paprika

Recipe Directions for plain hummus

  1. Place garlic and parsley in a food processor and chop finely.

  2. Drain beans, reserving liquid. Add beans to the food processor along with tahini, lemon juice, cumin, salt, and paprika. Process until very smooth, about 2 minutes. The mixture should be moist and spreadable. If it is too dry, add some of the reserved bean liquid to achieve desired consistency.

  3. Per 1/4 cup serving
