Carrots/Sauted Onion & Red Sw.Pepper make these turkeys grill up tasty & healthy. Uses 3lbs ground turkey.

Recipe Ingredients for PJ's Turkey-Veggie Burgers

64 oz Fresh Ground Turkey
1 serving Red Sweet Peppers
1 large Onions
1 serving Extra Virgin Olive Oil
1 cup, chopped Carrots
1 tsp serving Lemon Juice
1 []
1/4 cup Cheese and Chive or other Egg Subst.
1 tsp Sea Salt
2 tbsp Flaxseed Meal
1 cup dry Quick Quaker Oats

Recipe Directions for PJ's Turkey-Veggie Burgers

  1. Chop or dice onion small.

  2. Chop red pepper small.

  3. Dice garlic (use a lg. clove if you love garlic).

  4. Chop carrots small- can use blender to chop or grate if you wish.

  5. Add 1TBS Olive Oil to saute pan and heat.

  6. Add onion & pepper and stir. Cook until onion is translucent.

  7. Clear a space in the middle of saute pan mixture and add garlic to cook for 2 more min.

  8. Take off heat.

  9. Put Turkey into lg. bowl .

  10. Mix all other ingred. in by hand or use mixer with paddle attachment on a low speed.

  11. Make 12 patties and place between wax paper squares.

  12. Freeze in a freezer type plastic bag for later, or put into refrigerator to firm up for several hours or overnight.

  13. Grill on Med high until one side is seared (1-2 minutes)then flip and sear other side turning grill to low to finish cooking. You may salt the outside before searing. It will make a nice crusty outer coating. You can also use a wire grate grill basket to hold the burgers together while grilling.
