This little pizzette recipe makes delicious and crispy individual pizza crusts for your favorite veggies and low-fat cheeses. They can be pre-baked and topped and heated for later dinners or lunches. A combination of wheat and while flours can also be used.

Recipe Ingredients for Pizzette Dough

1 tablespoon sugar
1/4 ounce active dry yeast
3 1/4 cups all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 cup olive oil

Recipe Directions for Pizzette Dough

  1. Dissolve sugar in 1 cup of warm water and gently stir in yeast.

  2. Place the flour and salt in a large mixing bowl.

  3. Make a well in the flour mixture and pour in yeast mixture and olive oil.

  4. mix dough with a wooden spoon until it becomes smooth and elastic.

  5. Turn dough out on floured surface and knead until smooth and springy.

  6. Place back in bowl and cover for about 60 minutes.

  7. Punch dough back down, cover, let rise again (about 60 minutes).

  8. Divide dough into 12 pieces and shape into 5" rounds.

  9. Place on lightly greased baking sheet, prick w/ a fork, and spray with olive oil.

  10. Bake for 6 minutes at 500 degrees

  11. Add toppings and either microwave for 90 seconds or bake for 4-5 minutes at 500 degrees
