Recipe Ingredients for Pizza Sauce - From Weight Watchers Cookbook

16 oz Cherry tomatos
1/4 cup onion, sliced
4 cloves garlic
8 leaves basil, fresh, shredded
1/2 tsp pepper
1/8 tsp salt
1/4 cup balsamic vinegar

Recipe Directions for Pizza Sauce - From Weight Watchers Cookbook

  1. Preheat oven to 375.

  2. Rinse tomatos.

  3. Slice onions and garlic.

  4. Arrange tomatos, onion and garlic in a roasting pan or cookie sheet with sides.

  5. Sprinkle with salt, pepper and balsamic vinegar.

  6. Sprinkle basil shreds over all.

  7. Roast in oven for about 25-35 minutes or until the smell is intoxicating!

  8. Let cool slightly then lightly mash tomatos with a potato masher - or use a food processor to blend until smooth.
