Mommy's famous!!! Everybody's favorite!!!

Recipe Ingredients for Pizza Dough

1 package active dry yeast
1/4 cup water (lukewarm- 115 degrees)
1 1/2 teaspoons sugar
2 1/2 teaspoons salt
1/2 cup shortening
1 3/4 cup water (boiling)
6 cups flour

Recipe Directions for Pizza Dough

  1. Sprinkle yeast into lukewarm water.

  2. Let stand for a few minutes, then stir until dissolved.

  3. Put sugar, salt, and shortening into a large bowl. Add boiling water and stir until shortening melts.

  4. Cool to lukewarm.

  5. Stir in yeast mixture.

  6. Add ½ of the flour.

  7. Beat until smooth. Gradually stir in remaining flour.

  8. Divide dough, roll out, spread on greased pans, let rise in warm place.
