Pizza Dough Recipe

Works great for a classic Pizza Margherita.

Recipe Ingredients for Pizza dough

2 cups all-purpose flour, sifted
2 cups whole wheat flour, sifted
1 package dry yeast
2 tbsp olive oil, extra virgin
1 tsp salt

Recipe Directions for Pizza dough

  1. Mix ingredients; knead 10 minutes.

  2. Cover with damp cloth and let rise about 2 hours.

  3. Have ready two oiled 14-inch pizza pans. Pat and stretch the dough, pinching up a collar around the edge to hold the filling. Prick the dough in about 6 places.

  4. Preheat oven to 400F.

  5. Brush each crust with olive oil to prevent it from becoming soggy. Spread with preferred toppings. Let rest about 10 minutes.

  6. Bake for about 20 minutes and serve immediately.
